DSA Highest Grade for an instructor, teaching car learners and trailer towing learner drivers

Hello and welcome to my new updated website. I started Topsham Driver Training over 16 years ago, the first 5 years were the hardest as it takes about 5 years to master your teaching skills even though you have qualified as an DSA-ADI . ( Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor )
It's a sad fact that in the 16 years I've been a driving instructor, nationally the number of deaths on Britain's roads have averaged above 3000 per year. I remember one year where this figure dropped to 2700, but sadly it started to rise again. The roads today are busier than they've ever been, as well as heavy traffic to-days driver's often have to cope with unpredictable, irrational, offensive and sometimes dangerous driving behavior. In such conditions a driver needs to learn how to drive defensively.
Defensive driving involves, awareness, planning, anticipation, staying in control / driving with responsibility, care and consideration of all other road users. Teaching you to use the controls of the car is the easy bit, teaching you to think for yourself and act responsible is the hard bit.
So you see the skills you learn when learning to drive are life skills, which will stand you in good stead for the rest of your driving career. Quality driving lessons from a DSA highest grade driving instructor with planned aims and objectives to each driving lesson will work out to be better value for money in the long run and they might just keep you alive.
